If you are in receipt of an Advanced Learner Loan you may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan Bursary to help the different costs associated with studying.
The Advanced Learner Loan Bursary is available to help with books, travel and other college costs.
Where a student has a household income of £21,000 or less they will receive a bursary of £900. This will be paid in instalments of £300 per term.
Where a student has a household income of £21,001 or above they will receive a one off grant of £200.
Support is also available to help with childcare costs if your household income of £21,000 or less.
Students must use an Ofsted registered nursery or childcare practitioner.

Where a student is in receipt of Support funding for childcare they can also apply for help with additional college costs in the form of a £300 one off grant.
To apply for support you must apply online: lscollege.ac.uk/bursary.
Your application will then be assessed by the Student Finance Coordinator.
Students must meet the following criteria in order to receive their allocation:
Attendance will be checked by the Student Finance Coordinator. The level of attendance will be based on the attendance percentage of the previous half term (from the first day of term to the last.)
To receive financial support students must be attending College. They cannot receive support for long periods of non-attendance i.e. when on holiday or in hospital.
Where your course is less than 13 hours a week or less than three terms we will adjust your allocation accordingly.
